About me

Hi, my name is Anamaria and this is my website. I am expat living in Switzerland with my husband, our two sons, and our dog.

About this site

I keep this space for a number of different reasons: to chronicle things I find interesting, to mark the passage of certain events; to express my opinion, and to have an excuse for endless hours spent tinkering with code and stylesheets.

This site is powered by Wordpress, a platform I have recently come back to because of its great features and the ease of importing and exporting data. With Wordpress, I never feel like my data belongs to someone else. I am currently using the lovely Punchcut theme, with a few changes to make just a bit more pink.

Because occasionally people get in touch with me asking how I set up my photo galleries, here are a couple of posts I wrote sharing how I did it. Although I was using a different theme at the time, the methods I used remain the same.

The site header uses the fabulously chunky Romeral font. Page headings are in Junction, brought to you by the League of Moveable Type, a collection of open source fonts. The pic above was made on Wordle.net.
