Father’s Day 2009

After having contemplated a picnic, a BBQ and a brunch as possible Father’s Day activities, I decided the best idea was to let Justin sleep in and then go somewhere for lunch. At the last minute I decided we should go to Yvoire, which is picturesque, not too far away and would certainly provide the filets de perche I had been craving.

We ended up having a nice drive out and eating lunch at La Vieille Porte restaurant. The Father’s Day gods were smiling down on Jus, as he usually ends up wishing he had ordered whatever I get, but this time he ended up with the tastier dish. If you like garlic, get your filets de perche with the garlic confit. Yum. We then strolled around the town a bit before heading back to Geneva. Luckily we were able to spot a few ducks during our stroll, which made Ben happy.
