    Dude, Where’s my country?

I started reading the new Michael Moore book on the plane yesterday and so far I am enjoying it. The edition I am reading has an introduction aimed at UK readers and I wonder what the US version has as an introduction. In general, I find that it is less funny than Stupid White Men, but still very enjoyable. I do have one complaint/crituque though. In an effort to make the book easily readable and accessible to a wide audience, Moore presents things in overly simple terms. A few times I have found myself wishing he would go a little more in depth with some of the ideas he presents, rather than reducing them to a one sentence sound bite. Nonetheless, he is saying things that few other American writers are saying and that alone makes this book worth reading. And for those of us who want to go a bit further, the book is well referenced and could serve as a launching pad for more in depth research.
